Well, in my own defense, it only seems fair, since he has developed the habit of picking up my keyring from the side of the bed, carrying it around in his mouth for a while, and then dropping it in random locations…
We were going more for oriental demon, but perhaps you are right. She used to perk right up and get very interested whenever we said things like “space based laser platform”.
I’ve always found it interesting that human retinas show up red while feline retinas are bright green. I’ve yet to determine if this is due to the reflective coating behind their retinas or if it’s simply a clever cat strategy to disguise their inner evil.
What’s even funnier is the vast array of eyeshine you can get under all kinds of circumstances. ‘s cat’s eyes even shine red in regular light! I think it has to do with how big and curved your corneas are and how much fluid is in there. Her corneas are like great big clear protruding bubbles, when seen sideways.
I think the latter theory, while certainly reasonable, does suffer slightly from the observation that no cat I know has ever made any attempt whatsoever to disguise its evil.

Only because you keep LEAVING HIM ALONE. He feels he must hide your keys so you will stay. 🙂

That is awesome! My pugs eyes were like that too.
The only conclusion one can logically draw from this is that your pug was also a Terminator, I think. 🙂
