I will be in Washington, DC on a business trip from today (Friday) through Tuesday. Most likely, I’ll have this afternoon and evening free, and Saturday and Sunday evening as well. Anyone have any recommendations for things to do/people to meet? Any good clubs in DC?

What kind of music do you like? You might dig Chiaroscuro at The Edge in Southeast, Saturday night. Try Cafe’ Japone’ on P Street near Dupont Circle if you like amazingly good Japanese food in a faintly sleazy, shabby-chic atmosphere with hot little indie chick waitresses. I used to know of fun dungeon dance-y things in the area, but I’m all sorts of out of the loop by now.
As it turns out, the hotel I’m staying in is a good distance from DC proper, with no easy access to the Metro. So I’ll probably spend the entire time in my hotel room. *sigh*
