  1. I keep scrolling down looking for the rest of the post, because you’ve left us all hanging. For God’s sake, man! What kind of pie is it?!?

I hate cliffhangers! This is worse than the end of season 2 of Battlestar Galactica when the Cylons suddenly *&_^%()+)_!*(#)).*+CARRIER LOST

  3. I’m having pie for lunch. Also I had pie for dinner last night. I don’t eat breakfast.

The house is very cold, and I’m not ready to turn on the heat, hence, I make pie. Magnolia Pie. Yum.

  5. Mmm, pie.

Are you sure you don’t have some kind of mental link with my boyfriend? He’s the skinniest guy I know and would eat pie daily if possible. And he always says, “Mmmm… Piiiieee.”

      • ?!? You hadn’t seen Weebl and Bob before? Wow… they’ve been around over four years now… Weebl (a.k.a. Johnathan Picking) makes lots of ludicrously popular Flash loops (perhaps “badger mushroom snake” rings a bell), but this webcomic-style series is his flagship.

Actually, a lot of it is hit-and-miss, but some are genius. They have that sort of Beavis and Butthead vibe going on, in the sense that many seem just lame and/or disturbing but that the good ones are particularly entertaining once you get a feel for the characters. By title, the “pikea” trilogy isn’t a bad warmup; some of my favorites are “hentai”, “asshat” (a guest cartoon), and the recent “paper”.

It’s infectious, if nothing else: playing Dead Rising, I can’t help but quote it whenever Frank is scarfing down a pie. Amusing aside: my brother’s band is filled with fans of the cartoon, and one time that his girlfriend was at a practice he said “when come back bring pie!” to her as a joke when she ran out for an errand. She was the only one that didn’t get the reference, and she actually brought back pie. I can only imagine the room with five guys laughing extra-hard and one girl wondering what on earth was going on… – ZM
