…and rapidly running out of time. Working like crazy trying to get everything set up, but I don’t even know if the computer-controlled, auto-targeting smart gun will be finished in two weeks, and without it, keeping order is going to be much more difficult…
Many pictures of the preparations to date are behind this cut Perfectly work-safe
Ill Will Press Cartoon Vault. Goth chicks and talking squirrels with bad attitudes. Flash, with sound, PG-13.
It would be very easy to keep ranting about my client’s refusal to pay for a job that consumed a good chunk of the last week, but this is not that post.
Instead, this is the long-delayed sunyata__‘s Housewarming Party Post.
It always starts so innocently…
kellyv, anklesnake and I arrived to find a gaggle of people already there, many of them chuckling over a Chick tract, which is always a good sign.Met quite a number of people, including foxmagic, allroads, the altogether too cute raptorgirl, the frighteningly Angelina Jolie-esque enoelie, and the very cool, geeky, hyperkinetic, devastatingly intelligent, and much too fun for her own good ladytabitha, who I’m giving serious thought to kidnapping and keeping in my closet.
As a matter of fact, that sounds like a really good idea…
Ahem. Anyway, we had a blast. I’m working very hard on getting sunyata__ to come to the party, since her birthday is the 20th, and the only thing more fun than a dystopian birthday party celebrating mankind’s horrible end is a dystopian double birthday party celebrating mankind’s horrible end.
It’s seven minutes til midnight…what are your plans?
The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists Doomsday Clock, the indicator of how close we stand to the brink of nuclear Armageddon, currently stands at seven minutes to midnight, thanks in no small part to our gay-bashing, bomb-dropping, budget-bankrupting excuse for a president‘s complete failure in the diplomatic arena.anklesnake and I want to set up a pr0n Web site.
These two things are related, to each other and to the housewarming party–hang on, I’m getting to that.
We’ve been searcing for a domain name for the pr0n site, and striking out…all the cool ones are taken, or so it seems.
During the party, anklesnake had a flash of insight, and I registered the domain name right there at the party.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you doomsdaysex.com. Nothing but a placeholder there now, but we’ll be moving in soon.
And now…
…I’m getting ready to go out clubbing with anklesnake, my archnemesis, and friends. It’s 7 minutes til midnight, and I don’t plan to spend it at home!
O grim gods of battle, empower us this night
Annoint us with the Crimson Rain
Let every blow be a killing blow
Grant us victory.. or a Warrior’s Death.
I had planned to make a LiveJournal post about sunyata__‘s weekend housewarming party, which was a blast.
This is not that post.
I haven’t made that post because I’ve been working like a madman on a rush project for a new client. In fact, I’ve been staying up until 1AM working on the project, a PowerPoint presentation for a company called MGT Corporation, which makes wheelchair assist devices.
The project, which would normally take about three weeks cto complete, had a four-day lead time. I got it done, with hours to spare, and the client…
…hated it and doesn’t want to pay for it.
Grr.
To say I’m disappointed would be a disservice to Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg. I’m as angry as a great big angry thing.
The post about sunyata__‘s party (which will be a lot more interesting than this one and includes ladytabitha) will have to wait.
All work and no play…
I’ve been working non-stop for the past week decorating for the party. It’s been great fun; my arch-nemesis E has donated a huge pile of old 486 motherboards to the cause, which are now painted black and are being used to build the decorations, and anklesnake has perfected an alcoholic drink called gray goo… [Edit to fix the link]So it was with no small measure of joy that I went to Tampa Fetish Party on Friday with Shelly, and my archnemesis E, his wife K, and their partners J and M.
Gonads and Strife…Wheee!
There was a pretty good turnout; ran into several old friends at the play party I haven’t seen in far too long, and took advantage of the opportunity to give Shelly a most exquisite beating, made all the more fun by the fact that E (who Shelly has a massive crush on) was watching.Started slowly, strapping her face-down to a bench and placing two rows of acupuncture needles in her back along the edges of her tattoo. The effect was aesthetically delightful, and it was a good warm-up for the crop.
Once Shelly was bristling like a porcupine, I started with the crop, building her up slowly until her ass and legs were covered in beautiful red welts. She responds magnificantly to the crop, and it didn’t take long until she was smiling and squirming and laughing with every lash.
After she’d had a chance to come down from the endorphin high, I put her on the bench face-up and cocooned her to it with dozens of yards of saran wrap, until she could barely even wiggle. Then it was time for the crop again, this time on her breasts and thighs, until she started to float.
Once I had her in that intense floaty space where she couldn’t tell the difference between pain and pleasure, I cut a pair of holes in the saran wrap for her nipples to poke out, the better to clamp them. Next came the needles, a number of which went in each nipple.
She was in ecstasy.
Every touch, every bite, every caress and strike with the crop had her laughing and and shrieking and desperate for more.
I kept her there for quite a while, lingering over her until she barely knew where she was, before I finally unwrapped her and brought her back to earth.
All in all, an incredible evening, made even better because we could share it with close friends.
And to think, there are people in the world who don’t understand BDSM…
Radiation hazard? Ridiculously old-tech. Biohazard? Oh, please–that’s so last century.
No, the sexy, trendy new menace to human existance is nanohazards–nanotech run amok and covering the earth in a gray goo of microscopic, self-replicating machines.
And now you can be the first on your block to own the T-shirt warning of this menace!

Originally designed for my upcoming party, this design has been so popular that we’ve actually done a screen-print run and put it up at the Villain Tees Web site.
It’s the cutting edge of dangers to all humanity!
Flash, work-safe, requires sound.
The uninteresting stuff
Last week, I got a frantic call from a client; they needed me to fly out on short notice to Los Angeles to do a page-pairing software install and training at the LA times. It was the worst. job. ever. Napolean had a better day at Waterloo than I did on the site. Anyone who doesn’t care about the techie stuff should skip this bit and read the next section, which is a helluva lot more interesting and involves ame_chan.
Software is protected by a parallel port dongle. Server systems had no parallel ports. No prob; that’s why God invented the PCI parallel port card? right?
Neh. Server has PCI-X slots. The parallel port card didn’t start a fire, but only because the power supplies shut down fast enough.
On the phone til 4AM with the software vendor, in Great Britain. Posted a new build on their FTP server, no parallel port dongle needed. Downloaded. Installed. Bugs. It refuses to let clients connect. Neh neh neh.
More time on the phone. Frantic at this point. Finally got the system running and stable just mere minutes before the client needed to start page pairing.
Just for the record, I rock. Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
And now the interesting bit
The trip wasn’t a total wash. While I didn’t get a chance to meet up with trinker, which was kdisappointing, I did get the opportunity to meet the lovely ame_chan and part of her family.Indeed, she even invited me into her home and made dinner–and tea!–for me.
I was able to meet a couple of her partners, and some of her partner’s partners, all absolutely warm and delightful people. It was by far the high point of the trip, and I’m fortunate to have met all of them.
Sucks that they live so damn far away, though. I’m building a substantial network of friends in far-flung corners of the country, and it’s frustrating.
We choose the world we live in
It’s easy to become cynical about the nature of humanity, especially if you watch Fox News. There is unquestionably great evil in man, and sometimes, it becomes fashioable–trendy, even–to see the world through a veil of world-weary cynicism and bitterness. But we choose the world we live in. A person who sees the good in things and a person who sees the evil in things both see the truth, for things are rarely completely good or completely evil, but they live in very different worlds.
I like living in a world that recognizes opportunity and connection. Lately, I have been blessed by meeting and connecting with people–ame_chan, dawnd and her family, purplespark and others–who have, sight unseen, welcomed me into their homes, offered me their friendship, or both. I met altenra on a business trip to San Francisco several years ago, and she showed me a face of the city I’ve never seen; spending time with her has become a high point of my trips back.
In a world where cynicism and mistrust come easily, there are people who are warm and open nonetheless. In a world where people often mock the transient and ephemeral nature of online friendships, there are people whose friendship is enduring, no matter how you meet them.
And ame_chan, you can be my tea bitch any time you like. 🙂
