So, this weekend…

…I was interviewed for the Mostly ITP podcast by Amber Rhea, who talked to me about Onyx, the sexuality map, and how the street finds its own uses for things;

…found out I’ve overrun my cell phone minutes last month by 831 minutes (ouch!);

…got my mage up to level 80 in World of Warcraft (Naxx and that sweet, sweet Tier 7 armor await!);

…discovered a prodomme who is using big sections lifted from my BDSM site on her page without attribution;

…and did a drastic overhaul of the look of the transhumanist section of my Web site (though the content remains the same).

It’s been a sleepy day today. Think I’ll go home and take a nap.

  1. Eeeep! That’s a lotta minutes! When I encountered this once with the family plan and the multiple users – my provider was able to let me change my plan to one with more minutes and backdate it the one month – they got me on the hook for a more expensive plan, but it ended up being far cheaper than the overages. This possible for you?

  3. WoWage!

    After recently admiting to my addiction of almost 4 months, this weekend was a big one for me too…lol! I hit 70, and flying!! We have our own tiny guild on Dalaran server, and are now planning to grow into a small raiding guild. This thing has so many facets, with the straight levelling challenge, PvP, making enought gold to actually buy the mounts and gear, learning skills to augment the mone making…..and of course the very big aspect of social interaction. Of course I couldn’t decide which race/class to take, so I have many alts too…some of which are mid level from when I get frustrated with my main, also a mage, and need something easier for a day or two….lol

    I’m interested to know how you did your levelling, was it with help from online guides, or friends/guild members, or simply grinding it out on your own?

    I have done it mostly in partnership with my r/l husband and his dwarf paladin, which makes it easier, though slower, and occasional reference to guides online when we hit a bad patch. We were also very lucky to meet 2 amazing players online, who have almost mentored us through it so we can go raiding with them.

    What mix works for you? Do you PvP, raid or is there even more I haven’t found yet? I have as yet never PvP’d, and only duelled once, with my hubby, when we got DK’s and had to duel to move on…lol

    I am not competitive enough for PvP I think, but who knows? Once I reach 80 and get geared….well….maybe!

      I usually level on my own, and then raid with a guild. In the past, I have tended to level a character up to max and then retire it and level another (I have about six level 70s), but since I’ve started raiding, it’s been all about the things you do after you’re max level.

      I have one character, a warlock, who’s mostly PvP, but most of the time I’m raiding with my mage.
