Periodically, I like to get a sense of the people who read my journal–especially those of you I’ve never met in person. This poll is one way to do that, and it’ll only take a minute of your time. Ready? Here we go!

I have not been in a Chicago airport in a snowstorm, although I have also been in a Chicago airport in someone else’s snowstorm that has screwed flights for the entire country. And I have been in a New York airport in a snowstorm. Let me tell you, those 15k miles I burned to sit in business was *so* worth it…
And I think I’d rather eat pressure-treated pine than be forced to sit through either Moulin Rouge or Die Hard again.
I’ve been stuck..
…in the chicago airport because of a rainstorm in Newark…
Oh, wait, that was Detroit…
Never mind.
Re: I’ve been stuck..
I’ve been in ORD on the way to Detroit and fervently wished I were going to Newark instead. Is that close? I’m sure Dillo is going to feel the same way next month when we go to *my* family event.
Oh, by the way, I generally recommend against connecting in Chicago for a while if you can help it. The traffic problems have gotten so bad the FAA is complaining. And that’s *without* weather. At least it’s a reasonable airport to hang out in, unlike many others. Such as the United terminal in Detroit.
Re: I’ve been stuck..
Yeah…I saw that about the FAA…
Zoiks!

Regarding your survey, I am not an automobile, and I resent the clear implication.

O’Hare-ARGH!
I’ve not been stuck in o’hare in a snowstorm but I have been stuck on the runway at o’hare in a snowstorm with a long line to take off. In fact by the time we would be second in line for take off we would have to leave the line and go de-ice the wings!! Not the best xmas eve!

you sick, sick people!
Eveybody who chose Windows 3.1 needs some serious psychotherapy! I mean, I can understand a little masochism, but that’s just taking it to an unhealthy extreme.
Re: you sick, sick people!
Well, you know, we all need to be understanding of other people’s kinks, don’t you think?
I mean, Windows 3.1 is pretty far out there, sure, but still…
