  1. This is awesome, right in line with your usual kickass poly advice.

My *one* suggestion? I would eliminate all the instances in which you said “I’ve said it before but it bears repeating.” Not only do you get a White Stripes song lyric stuck in your head like a little punk earworm 🙂 but this page might actually be a first-time introduction to your page for some people, so even if you’ve said it 40 times elsewhere on your site, it may be the first time someone in your audience may hear it.

Otherwise? This is definitely required reading! I still say your poly essays are the best I’ve seen yet.

  3. I’m meeting this girl my boyfriend is interested in tonight.

This is our first time adding another person into the mix or whatever, and I totally did the “Don’t vilify, demonize, or build up your partner’s other partners” for the first couple days. It was miserable.

Thankfully, I seem to be past that, I’m excited to meet her and see how they interact with one another.

The new section was very helpful to me, thank you so much. 🙂

  5. minor proofreading type edits

    Toward the top
    Typo, or Freudian slip??
Of curse, you’ll need the relationship skills…

    – Don’t assume the problem is polyamory
…Not all the problems in apolyamorous relationship…

Should have space between a and polyamorous.

    Same section:
Even if our relationship with your partner’s partner is…

Should read “Even if your relationship…” (not “our” as currently)

    – Do take responsibility for your actions
If there’s any rule that’s as absolute as the law of graity

    “gravity” not “graity”

In the section on validation, some verb agreement stuff:
the people who want to be with me is there because of the value…

I don’t guarantee that I’ve caught even all of these sorts of typos. I am EXCEEDINGLY distracted right now, and am using looking at this as a way to focus outward. I’m happy to take another look later, though, if you’d like.

Overall, it looks like another good section. Good info, all stuff I’d say/have said/recommend even if I’m personally terrible at it. ;^) Might be nice to have some sort of closing paragraph(s), though, to kind of sum up and send the person back to the other pages.

  7. Do as I say, not as I do…

Interesting…..I particularly took note of the part that was headed “Don’t seek to give your partner happiness at the expense of your own”. These words are particulary relevant in your situation Franklin.
