  1. Isn’t this what the Republican Party does out of habit (Tax cuts for the rich and increasing deficit)?

    • and the democratic party is so much better?

if you pull the string on the animal wheel while it’s pointing at the democratic donkey you get:
      “if it moves, tax it
if it keeps moving, regulate it
if it stops moving, subsidize it”

      sound familiar?

      • The problem is, tax-and-spend still works better than spend-and-spend. When the government spends money, we pay that money, whether we do it in taxes now or in taxes later.

With the interest charges on $300,000,000,000 in debt, we end up paying for the money *plus* paying for the interest. The “tax cuts” are temporary, we still owe that $300,000,000,000.

The Democrats and Republicans both regulate everything to death. The Democrats regulate businesses; the Republicans regulate personal lives. The Democrats want to tell me who I can hire; the Republicans want to tell me who I can have sex with, and in what position.

Democrats and Republicans are both corrupt, though I think Republicans are a bit more brazen about their corruption–which is why they’re usually better fundraisers.
