Getting a lot done!

Friday, I made a significant update to my VX2 malware page. Today, Shelly and I got a storage unit, cleaned up the apartment, and celebrated what my old college friend might call a Freedom From Possessions day. Binned a bunch of stuff (including an old PIII-800 computer…*sniff* datan0de, i thought briefly about donating it to you instead, then realized that femetal would probably kill me, and there are some kinds of grief I just don’t want.) Took a bunch of what was left to the storage unit, and…

…oh, my God, what a difference.

Also updated my BDSM dictionary and polyamory glossary. Interestingly, it seems that most of the terms used in the BDSM community refer to things (tawse, clover clamp, St. Andrew’s cross) or terms for people (top, bottom, domme, switch), whereas many of the terms in the polyamorous community refer to emotional experiences (compersion, limerence, NRE) or relationships (intimate network, triad, vee).

I am pleased.

  3. in lieu of dropping you a line at the website…

i think there should be some commentary on the definition of “panzexual” in your kinky dictionary. in practice, “pansexual” has come to mean, generously, “mostly heterosexual”. i’d even go so far as to say that pansexual is the PC term for heterosexual.

    • I’m not sure I’d agree with that. Pansexual is pretty much an opposite of heterosexual. ‘Pan’ meaning ‘all’ afterall. It’s used to means someone open to a very wide variety of sexual experience not based on gender alone – including hetero, homo, bi, TG, TS, intersex, etc. It usually also refers to someone open to a wide variety of ‘kinks’. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pansexuality

Perhaps you’re thinking of a term more along the line of meterosexual?

      • no, you’re not following. pansexual really does mean all of that inclusive good stuff in theory, but in practice in the BDSM community it’s much different. historically, the heterosexuals started the pansexual events and organizations, and it’s pretty much stayed that way.

  7. you are one of the few people that I know that know the word limerence. I have used the term for years now but it seems most people aren’t aware of it. Good on you 🙂

      • “Boobiesexual,” a term I coined in an early podcast, refers to women who are only-sorta-bisexual in this way: they are primarly into men and cocks but also fascinated by women’s breasts BUT without any particular interest in women below the waist.
