Baby lizards!

On the way to the office this morning, we spotted this little guy running around…he’s so ky00t! He’s a Florida anole; the whole place is overrun with them, but I’ve never seen one this small before. (This pic is very close to actual size.)

He was a bugger to catch the first time, but after I caught him, he had a great time running all over me. He finally jumped off (onto the sidewalk, not a good place for a lizard to be), so I had to catch him again to get him into the bushes. By the time I got him there, he’d just about lost all fear of humans, and was letting me handle him with no problem.

  1. Just stopping by…

Just stopping by to say hi, and noticed this entry. It’s pleasing to see that you care in this way – would not really have guessed it. =)

I also noticed ‘Your Fortune’ today – I’m not sure if I agree with it, but you well might, and I’m into philosophy and such things.

I was wondering if you think now that it was all worth it Franklin, that you are satisfied and content with how things have turned out in your life? In essence, where you are now, is this where you want to be? Just wondering…

I realise that I may not deserve an answer, although I did stick up for you there for a while (although you may not have noticed) *laugh*

Yea, he is happy where he is. The only mistake he made was me. Now he can pretend I never existed. Like our life never happened.

      On ward and up ward.

Don’t you worry, on the surface it might seem this way to you, but there is no escape from the past. Pretending doesn’t work and all of us have to face what we are and where we came from eventually. If not, we’ll just keep repeating the same mistakes.

Wasn’t it someone quite well known over your way who said ‘the best indicator of future behavior is past behavior’?

Anyway, you know your life happened, and not even Franklin can take that from you. xx

Sorry for the outburst. With all the stress I am under right now and all hormonal ups and downs, I sometimes feel a little lonely up here. I was out of line and he did not deserve this.

  6. Glad to know…

Glad to know that you believe in censorship, just like me – we at last have one thing in common – that and a fondness for baby lizards! *smiles*

I don’t believe in censorship; I believe in editing.

      What’s the difference?

Editing means “You can’t say this in my forum.” If Newsweek magazine refuses to print a reader’s letter about how space aliens from Mars are trying to clone Adolf Hitler to create an army to conquer the world, that’s editing, not censorship–that person is free to pursue other fora to spread his message.

If someone says “You may not talk about space aliens at all, ever, and anyone who does will be imprisoned for six years,” that’s censorship.

You’re prefectly free to discuss my perceived faults and flaws with Kelly to your heart’s content; I don’t care. But not in my journal. Take it to her journal, take it to email, put up a Web site, create your own journal if you want. But not here. This is my journal, and that’s not what I created it for.

I actually DO believe in censorship to some extent, so we don’t even have that in common it seems.

There has been no discussion re your ‘perceived faults and flaws’, nor will there be. It would be a rather one-sided discussion in any event!!

I appreciate your position though, as any reasonable person would.

Our of curiosity, I’ll stop by once in a while to say hi.

        Cheers
