Aaaargh!

I want to release the new version of the chat program I’m working on, but the Windows build isn’t working. I currently have three open bug reports on file against the Windows compiler…it’s all compiler bugstuff. Grr.

    Hey, Franklin.

Have you considered work-arounds or a different compiler? Just a thought. While the over-head associated with both options might seem large, it may actually be faster than waiting for a bug fix.

    Good luck!

I’ve found workarounbds for two of the bugs (one of which, a particularly nasty one, involves clicks on controls on certain composite windows not being registered correctly), but so far, I haven’t found a workaround for the third, a crashing bug on Win32 compiles.

I’m not really too enthusiastic about rewriting the code for a different compiler. Fortunately, the newest versioon of the compiler is in the first round of beta testing, so I’m hoping (fingers crossed) that the bugs I’ve reproted make it intot he new version before it goes GM.
