Wish me luck!

So Gina and I have spent the past couple of nights revising and re-revising a query letter for the book on polyamory I’ve been on-again, off-again working on. It’s been great; she’s a veteran of this getting-books-published thing, with a couple of books already under her belt, so I was absolutely delighted when she volunteered to help. This project has been pushing on me lately, and I really would like to see it happen.

Anyway, the query letter is done, I’m working on a formal proposal (in case anyone should bite at the query), I’ve made a list of agents and publishers interested in this sort of material, and tomorrow I plan to start mailing the query out.

Wish me luck!

  1. I can ask Catherine A. Liszt, co-author of The Ethical Slut, for suggestions. Can’t guarantee she’ll be able to help, but… should I ask?

  3. Good luck hun! They would be stupid if they didn’t bite! I look forward to seeing the finished product on the shelves so that I may purchase and join the fan club of Tacit in yet another way 🙂

Good luck to you, Franklin! You have many fans out there you don’t yet know about… but you will after the book gets published! (actually, this phrase might sound scarier then intended :-))

You’re a great guy and I hope to get to know you some time…

    Best of luck,

  9. Once you’re through that, would you perhaps write something about how one does a query letter? I have a book idea I’m seriously pondering working on after I finish my master’s thesis.
