Pulling into the parking lot at work today, some guy looking over his shoulder and not paying attention plowed right into the side of my car. Fer Chrissakes, WTF is it with me and cars lately?? Sitting in my car waiting for the cops to show. Grr.

The car’s still drivable, but he hit me right smack dab over the front weel, so the front end is nicely caved in. Gonna be next week at the earliest before the police report is filed and I can get estimates for the fix, then get hold of his insurance company and start badgering them to fix it.
His car, natch, wasn’t damaged at all.

Car’s still drivable, though the front side is pretty well and thoroughly mashed in. Nobody was hurt, but I’m extraordinarily annoyed about the car.
I’d be pissed, too. Hopefully Idiot Dude’s insurance will pay for your repairs without a fuss.
Since he hit you right on the wheel, make sure you have your mechanic check your alignment and such. I got hit smack dab on my wheel once, and it knocked my suspension all out of whack. It was still driveable (to the mechanic, which was not far away), but my wheels looked like this: /—/ when they should have looked like this: |—|.

Got to take it in for an estimate, but it looks like the left front quarter panel is gonna need to be replaced. No structural or mechanical damage that I can see, but it looks pretty bad now.
